The Kickstarter for Octopus’s Garden is an exciting opportunity. I never had the opportunity to play it, but the original edition of a game was a constant favourite at events I attended. I never played it because inevitably it was always full.
Now, Maple Games is giving people the opportunity to pick up a new version of this beautiful game. Players are octopi, laying tiles to grow the best underwater garden, attract fish, and protect your oysters from hungry starfish. The original game had several mini-expansions, which are being added to the campaign as stretch goals.
There are two pledge levels. $30 for one copy or $180 for six. Nice and simple. No ridiculous deluxe versions or crazy extras, just the game and eventual stretch goals. The game funded in under 24 hours, so it will definitely hit stretch goals.
