It’s always great when I can run CrowdFUNding Spotlights on holiday games during our holiday review series. Today about more than just a single game, but a game that comes with 12 more games and a few bonus games on top of that! This is Bah! Humbug! and the 12 Games of Christmas!
The original Bah! Humbug! was released as a print-and-play game last yeart, and now it’s gotten a physical upgrade and Small Furry Games invited another twelve designers to join in the festivities this year and it’s super exciting.
Pledge levels start out with something interesting, a $2 (USD) pledge for a “non-USA Waitlist”. With shipping a disater right now, this gives worldwide backers the opportunity to get in on the project without a big investment and Small Furry Games will followup to discuss specific shipping quotes after.
At $12 backers get a print-and-play version of the game. $19 gets the physical components and a digital rulebook. $29 is the full physical game, the PnP files, and a “gift anouncement card” if you want to gift it this Christmas and $51 doubles that.
This is a terrific looking game, full of more terrific looking games. I’m big fan of the flexibility of a triangularly built deck. (Twelve 12s, eleven 11s, ten 10s, and so on.) As an extra (and entirely not official) bonus to this sort of deck build is that there are dozens of other games you can play with it.
Small Furry Games also places a strong importance on sustainability in their games and their business. Especially at this time of year, that’s an important thing to be aware of in your holiday shopping.
